It took me far too long to finally see Julie Deply work her magic simultaneously in front and behind the camera; not only did she direct the film, she wrote the screenplay and sang on the soundtrack. Somehow she managed to make this love story sweet and realistic. Plus there are plenty of goodies on the DVD where Deply discusses her filmmaking process.
Next up, Deply will work her magic once again in The Countess.
This is still in my instant watch queue on Netflix. I will have to move this up from spot 51.
