In Search of a Midnight Kiss

Because New Year's Eve is upon us this indie film seems timely. In Search of a Midnight Kiss is about two lonely people in Los Angeles looking for someone to share the night with.

Director/Writer: Alex Holdridge
Starring: Scoot McNairy and Sara Simmonds
Soundtrack: "My Good Deeds" by Shearwater

For Fans of...Before Sunrise and Before Sunset

I was so excited to see this film. I was so let down when I actually did. The lead male was a little more put together by A. Holdridge and played by Scoot McNairy, but the lead female enacted tastelessly and with no class by Sara Simmonds. She was supposed to be a strong female. How is it that this woman is popping pills and such while pregnant, and then running off to a one night stand with some loser considered to be a strong female? Also, the character itself had no depth -- one liner after one liner. What I thought was going to be this great indie film with brains to boot, turned out to be some out of work actors putting together a shamble of nothing and calling it a great American indie. What a shame.
