X-Men: First Class (Zoe Kravitz + James McAvoy)

The trailer for X-Men: First Class hit the web today and it's looking good. The storylines of a mutant generation remain relevant in this earlier setting and overall I'm pleased with the casting choices. I'm especially glad to see James McAvoy and Zoe Kravitz in the mix. And Kevin Bacon!

In theaters June 3rd.

It's Kind of a Funny Story

When Broken Social Scene scores your movie you're on the right path... it fits the tone perfectly, never distracting, adding an undercurrent of exuberance. Not only does It's Kind of a Funny Story have one of the best soundtracks of the year it features a solid cast. Zach Galifianakis makes a hilarious crazy guy. Keir Gilchrist (United States of Tara) plays a likeable lead as a suidical teen looking for solace in a psychiatric ward. Emma Roberts and Zoe Kravitz are the romantic interests who bring charm to their supporting roles. Lauren Graham and James Gaffigan have short appearances as parents but when they're on screen they add an extra boost of humor. Overall It's Kind of a Funny Story is sweet and quirky without being pretentious. It's definitely worth a watch!

In theaters October 8th.

Zoe Kravitz on Nylon TV

Nylon is the coolest fashion magazine and it's fun to watch their fashion profiles. Here's one on Zoe Kravitz, actress/singer and daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet (The Cosby Show).

Plus, Zoe was on Good Morning America where they coined her "on the brink" of stardom. I hope so!
