Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Man of Action

One of the best parts of Inception was watching Joseph Gordon-Levitt kick butt. He looks good with a gun, suave in a James Bond way. With the right story he transforms into a man of action, a hero, totally opposite of that nerdy guy he once played in 10 Things I Hate About You. Let's hope he gets a shot at his own action franchise alongside all the great indie films.

In a world where technology exists to enter the human mind through dream invasion, a single idea within one's mind can be the most dangerous weapon or the most valuable asset.

Manic

Manic is the first pairing of Joesph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel. They play crazy people, sort of in love but not really. You'll just have to see. Don Cheadle anchors the film as the doctor who tries to ground them in reality. It's a gritty movie done well.

500 Days of Summer

Zooey Deschanel is quickly emerging as one of my favorite actresses. She plays those quirky 20-something angst roles with great charm. Her snarky, dry humor in Winter Passing is hilarious and when she switches gears and plays a bubbly music teacher in Bridge to Terabithia it's just as engaging. But most people probably remember her as the singing Santa's helper from Elf. If you get a chance check out her band She & Him, her voice has an old school elegance and when she sings in her movies it's always a plus.

Her latest film, 500 Days of Summer is getting some good buzz at the Sundance Film Fest and I'm already looking forward to seeing it.
