Community

The Soup's Joel McHale will join Tina Fey and Steve Carrell on Thursday nights this fall. McHale will play a disgraced lawyer at a community college in California. The show is simply titled Community and the supporting cast includes Chevy Chase, Yvette Nicole Brown (Drake & Josh) and Donald Glover (30 Rock). Here's a preview:

But no worries, McHale told EW that he will still keep his Soup gig too, so it looks like we'll be getting a double dose of funny this fall. Bring it on!

I'm actually excited about this show, just because Donald Glover is getting work. Chevy Chase looks pretty funny in this too. I think I'll be watching this and "Glee" during the fall season.

I watched Glee the other day and it was such a letdown. The one bright spot in the show was Jane Lynch's character, she was actually hilarious! And yay for Donald Glover. I just wish he wasn't playing a "jock." Hopefully there's more depth to his character.

Thank God Joel is staying with the soup, cause I live for that show. Plus the promo of Community doesn't look that great, apart from the guy with Aspergers. He looks hi-larious.

Yeah, The Soup is pretty awesome. What would we do without chat stew? "So meaty"

You didn't like "Glee"? Oh noooo! But it was so quirky and fun-lovingly corny! The only thing I didn't care for was the music (I don't like a capella groups) and the "big black girl who can SANG" character. And yes, Jane Lynch is always hilarious. I loved her especially in "Best in Show."

What didn't you like about it?

Umm...pretty much the whole overall feel. hehe. It's like High School Musical blended with Freaks and Geeks, but not the good kind. The concept of the show is great, aiming to show an underbelly of theatre but if feels too awkward. I kind of wish Diablo Cody was writing the scripts then things would have probably turned out the way I had hoped it would go.
