Not many surprises here. The Oscar nominations seem a little too predictable, pretty much all the front-runners got their respective nods. Things could get
really interesting if
Natalie Portman and
Christian Bale don't win Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor. And if
Jesse Eisenberg beat out
Colin Firth for Best Actor. I doubt that will happen, but either way I'm looking forward to awards night.
Best Picture:
- Black Swan
- The Fighter
- Inception
- The Kids Are All Right
- The King's Speech
- 127 Hours
- The Social Network
- Toy Story 3
- True Grit

yeah it was super predictable this year. will just add my votes for natalie portman, christian bale, melissa leo, and inception. the rest i don't really have invested interest in
I was hoping for some kind of shocking addition to the nominations but... nothing. It was a good year for movies though. Can't complain too much!
I’m not all that disappointed with the Oscars this year, except no love for Christopher Nolan, or The Town for that matter. However, it doesn’t matter all that much really since The Social Network is practically going to win everything it’s nominated for. Which kind of blows, but hey it really was an amazing piece of work. Can’t wait for the show!

The Social Network is a brilliant piece of filmmaking. I saw it twice in theaters and once on DVD and I appreciate more with each new viewing.
I saw Inception twice and I still get into deep conversations about that movie with friends. It's superb!
This year's show should be good, especially with Anne Hathaway and James Franco hosting. Interesting combo. Thanks for stopping by!
Shame it was SO redictable really.. when are they going to spring a real surprise on us??
