BEST BURGER IN TOWN - Stout
No one cooks a better gourmet burger than the folks at Stout, and my favorite is the Six Weeker. It' a hamburger with camembert, fig jam, mild jack, arugula and caramelized onions. It's just to die for. Really, anything with jam on it, I'm on board!
BEST CHEESE PLATE IN TOWN - Vinoteque
Vinoteque is an adorable restaurant with an extensive wine list and delicious menu of tapas style dishes. Although those are two great reasons to check this place out, my favorite thing there is their charcuterie and cheese plate. The waiters are pretty knowledgeable on every dish, so if you're not sure what boqueron, jamon serrano or garrotxa are they'll let you know! They have such a great selection though, you can't go wrong.
LA Mill is one of my favorite places in town. They have dozens of types of coffee from all around the world and a handful of ways to serve it. It will definitely top any other coffee going experience in LA. It's also a restaurant with great food and awesome decor. It's like a 21st Century Marie Antoinette decorated it!
FAVORITE FOOD - Korean BBQ
Korea Town makes up a huge part of Los Angeles County. Really, you can go anywhere to get amazing Korean food but one of my favorite restaurants is called Hae Jang Chon. If you've never tried Korean BBQ you must go! It's such a unique dining experience. They bring out a ton of starters for the table, no matter what you order, and they're delicious! And then you cook your own food. Yes, yourself on a grill built into the table. It's really fun, and most places are all you can eat. So be sure to go hungry!
FAVORITE DESSERT - Princess Cake from The Alcove
The best dessert in the world is Princess Cake. It's a triple layer white cake with jam, custard and cream all covered in a pretty purple marzipan. That's it! It's amazing, and the best place in town to get it is at The Alcove in Los Feliz.
