Weeneebeg Aboriginal Film & Video Festival


Tantoo Cardinal (Smoke Signals, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman) has a short film being screened at the 7th Annual Weeneebeg Aboriginal Film and Video Festival this week. The fest takes place in Moosonee, Ontario and will feature 35 films that explore the Native American experience.

This looks interesting! I haven't seen many films that delve into the culture of aboriginal. However I saw, Rabbit Proof Fence, a while back and loved it. Thank you for commenting over at my blog!

Man, this is why I love this blog. I mean who else would post about the 7th Annual Weeneebeg Aboriginal Film? Who I ask? I love coming here and reading your reveiws and recommendations. I just saw Priceless with Audrey Tautou and absolutely loved it. I would have never heard of this sweet movie if I never visited this fab blog. You Rock!!!

Great job with mentioning this film festival. I worked at imagineNATIVE Film Festival in '08 in Toronto and they are supporting this film festival this year - I absolutely support all of the indigenous works that are being shown all over the world. Berlinale also had 4 works that were commissioned at iN last year :D.
