Serious Moonlight

Serious Moonlight is reminscent of Meg Ryan's reign of 90s rom-coms. But unlike her previous films she's not the object of the man's affection and the story isn't about two strangers getting together in the end. It's a little more complex, a little more fragile, a little more disillusioned and seeing Ryan on the fringe of her "traditional role" is a nice fit.
A high-powered attorney duct tapes her adulterous husband to the toilet ... right before their home is invaded by burglars.

Now in theaters.

I was really disappointed in this movie. Meg Ryan's career seems like it's on life support these days

It's interesting to see how Meg Ryan and Sandra Bullock's careers have turned out. Both around the same age, both primarily know for their rom-com work yet Bullock has fared better. I think Serious Moonlight is a step in the right direction for Ryan.

But I get what you're saying, Ryan has had some rough years in the industry.
