Shiloh Fernandez stars in this impressively crafted short film about fate and second chances. When I first saw Fernandez in a made-for-TV move called Crossroads: A Story of Forgiveness I remember thinking to myself, this guy is intense. His onscreen presence is captivating because he brings a certain level of intensity to all of his roles, no matter how different the character. Even though Swerve is a short film its feels larger in scope and that's to the credit of director Brendan Gabriel Murphy. According to IMDb this is their second pairing (and hopefully not the last). Bottom line: Keep Fernandez and Murphy on your radar, they ooze cinematic potential.
